In HD no less. If you have walked by Pioneer Courthouse Square of late, you may have noticed the construction fences surrounding the former Powell’s Books Travel Store. Well, KGW has acquired the space and is building out an HD studio there. Should be open by fall.
I can just see it now. We will have our own “Today” show in Portland with live broadcasts interviewing workers walking by bleary eyed on the way to work. They could have live streaming video of all the shenanigans that take place in the square at night. Ooh, Ooh, they could even get commentary on the hacky sack bouts that takes place every evening around 5pm.
