As luck would have it, one of my clients does something very similar to what the Open Web Foundation is proposing. Standards are still critically important, but its up to the foundation to do two things: 1) Make sure that existing standards are adopted and used, and 2) Push the standards bodies to define and approve standards that are being requested by the public.

It\&#039;s very much a mediator role. And I\&#039;m sure that the Open Web Foundation will do a fantastic job in this role.</description>
