I am a big fan of the burger. An American staple I guess. Portland has some amazing locales who serve up a mean tasty burger- Higgins, Cafe Castagna, Lompoc, Amnesia, Stanich’s to name a few. Some are expensive, some are not. I believe it comes down to the preparation.
Over the weekend, I stopped into the neighborhood hardware store on NE MLK for some screws and such and then popped over to Christopher’s Gourmet Grill. The menu is extensive with Philly cheesesteaks, chicken and fish plates, wings, sandwiches and burgers. The prices are pretty good – even low. I decided I wanted to try a burger and @ $3.25, I couldn’t go wrong. Then I eyed what was called the Louisiana Cheeseburger. If you look to the right – there it is. Do you know why it is called a Louisiana Cheeseburger? Well, if you look closely, you’ll see the Louisiana Hot link slices on top of the burger. Who seriously could pass that up? And for $5? It was a steal. And, it was a great little burger. Everything was cooked perfectly and the fixings were just right. I even got table service.
Next time you’re up in North visiting the Mississippi area or in NorthEast vising Alberta, check out Christopher’s on NE MLK just south of Shaver. You won’t be disappointed.

Good to know! I pass that place virtually every single day, but have yet to stop in.
We’ve been eying that place for a while now – Thanks for the review. Now I can walk in there with confidence.
