Here’s what we’ve found as we’ve traveled the local PDX web (complete with our comments) for August 29th. (I have to confess that I’m totally preoccupied with pie creation-ing, so scrambled to get something up for y’all…!)
- The cops according to Fireman Randy (Jack Bog’s Blog) – Jack's lining up in Randy's camp: "But the important aspect of the story, of course, is that the Fireman's right. When criticized, the Portland police are, and always have been, extremely defensive and obstructive. "
- Open letter to the Mayor-elect: Thanks for making this a fun August – On the Other Hand…Phil Stanford over at the Trib thinks giving Randy Leonard the job of police commissioner is a Very Very Bad Idea. Hmmm…
- Upcoming | Portland Anti-Prom Benefit – Hey, I never went to my own prom back in the day. But years and years and *years* later, I could go to the Anti-Prom. Raise some money for a worthy cause (the Luke Dorf healing community helps people get off the streets.) And openly flout all those prom rules (drinking in front of the chaperones, wearing a hideous 'prom' outfit, etc. etc. etc.)
