We are so damn lucky with the food carts in this town. And in my opinion, Ziba's is at the top of it all. She stopped opening on Saturdays, so I'm lucky that my new job is close enough to go there on a weekday.

I LOVE Ziba's pitas. I had my first "in situ" in 2001 at the weekly market in Trogir, Croatia, specifically the cheese version. My husband and daughter had the meat version. We've never forgotten them. How amazing they should now be offered in Portland.

That picture looked so good I walked right over for lunch.

Yum.

My only recommendation: There was a whole lotta meat in my meat pita. She'll do a half & half plate -- get half meat & half spinach or veggie!

Also, the pita was crazy good when I slathered the red bell pepper sauce all over the top of it. The platter is well worth it.

Yeah, I love Ziba's Pitas. The lady there is very nice, and the food very good.

I work close to the "pod" on SW 5th, but I wish I could get to the Alder carts and back in a timely manner. There's a lot of good food up there (including the Samurai Japanese cart).

Yay Ziba's. I'd never heard of Bosnian pita before I found this cart, but they're delicious.
