After stopping by the little grocery store on NW 11th & NW Northrup, I continued my walk to the office and came across these…pods…at two different places along NW 16th. Will they hatch after dark? Beware!

Just to clarify, in case anyone didn’t get the joke, those are actually used to keep fallen leaves out of the storm drain grates. Otherwise whole intersections get flooded with storm runoff…
Hm, looks like the pods are doing a heckuva job there…
