I was going to say “it looks like someplace they used to have a statue,” but I’m not familiar with the specific history.

I’m amused by that mini-roundabout quite often, as I embark and disembark at the 7th Street stop on the MAX.

There used to be a statue of a pioneer family that was removed because they were carrying a bible and someone was offended.
