We originally picked Wednesdays for our meetups because it was convenient for me, me, ME.
And while we’ve had decent turnouts, we’ve also heard from people who said it conflicted with last night’s Portland Web Innovators meeting (which I’m also bummed I missed out on — thanks, Rick for the kind words about OurPDX!) Or WikiWednesdays.
If we’d have waited until next week? We’d have collided with ThrivePDX. Or the latest Back Fence PDX (movin’ on up to the Mission, no less!) Or the monthly PDX Werewolf game.
The week after that? I’m sure it’s crammed full of events. Portlanders seem to like Wednesdays.
OK, OK — we get it. Wednesday may work well for me — but not so well for the rest of you. And we’d probably like to attend some of those cool events as well.
So we’re now calling dibs on Tuesday. We’ll make sure we spread the word on Calagator as well as Upcoming, and will look for ways to encourage new people to join us.
