This is Portland, so it wouldn’t be a real week here if there weren’t some kind of “Camp” for you to go to, hear about or watch a stream of. Camps happen all the time here, but what doesn’t happen all the time is a pre-party for a camp with a live on location recording my Podcast, Strange Love Live.
Really, that doesn’t happen for every camp, in fact it’s never happened before. I rarely come out of my basement. But it is happening for Cyborg Camp.
For the first time ever Dr Normal and I are going to take our show on the road. He’s going to spend a better part of his afternoon setting up at Vidoop while I run around doing things that Podcast hosts do, like cooking pasta, decorating a tree, watching ballet, trying to pick the perfect shade of lipstick or maybe reviewing a show note or two.
If you have an urge to get out and about tonight, have ever wanted to see Strange Love Live in person, want to celebrate Cyborg Camp a few hours early or are curious what this whole Cyborg Camp craze is about then come on by. The party starts at 8:30, the show starts at 10 and all the other details I could possibly give you are on the upcoming page, where conveniently, you can RSVP if you’d like.
Now I have to go find something appropriate to wear, something that says “I sure hope you’re the humanity loving kind of Cyborg, not the big bad machines from the future that fly around in a giant cube… please don’t assimilate me”.
Wish me luck?
