I feel like I need some jazz playing here to set the scene.  To get you in the mood, to work you up into a lather for next week’s Back Fence PDX, because if you haven’t been to one of the previous Back Fence events I don’t know that you’re going to realize what it is you’re signing up for when you purchase a ticket.

Simply put Back Fence PDX is a night of story telling put on by Melissa Lion and Frayn Masters for the enjoyment of the crazed Portland masses.  Each event has a theme and the story tellers for the evening all present a tale that’s a variation on it.  This time around they’re telling stories about “The Moment After”.

That conjures up so many moments after for me.  The moment after I fell and busted my front teeth, the moment after I first had sex, the moment after I realized I couldn’t hack it in California, the moment after I broke it off with my fiance, the moment after I gave birth to my daughter and the moment after I realized I was going on too long with this particular sentence.

If I can come up with that many Moments After just sitting at my dining table imagine what the story tellers are going to come up with.

Back Fence PDX is happening Wednesday February 18th at the Mission Theater.  The doors open at 6 and the show starts at 7.  Judging from Back Fences prior, I’d err on the side of early if you want to get a good seat, it fills up fast.  Tickets are $10 online and $12 at the door.  When you go, be ready to watch, listen, think and enjoy.

Before I go I can’t help but wonder, what are some of your biggest moments after?

Thanks, Cami!

It’s going to be so great. We’ve heard all of the stories and they’re just magnificent. From a woman taking a trip in a $300 car from Istanbul to Yugoslavia before the war, to a track meet gone sideways, these stories are amazing.

And we have hula hoopers!
