I was heading up North Interstate yesterday afternoon to pick up some groceries at my favorite New Seasons when I eyed this great little piece of art by one of the MAX crosswalks. This is directly opposite where the old Crown Motel use to be which is now a new 5 story apartment building.
I love this little guy. It is red paint on a salvaged piece of click together flooring like you buy at Ikea. The paint (you may not be able to make it out in this photo) is a tree. It made me smile. If you think something like this is littering, step off.
As I drove by this morning, it was gone. It may have been picked up by a stranger (hopefully sitting on someone’s mantle) or by the art police or by the artist. I’ll let the artist know here – I loved it and you made my day by putting it out there on Sunday. Thank you.
