I wrote about this restaurant opening in October and now it is closed. and it doesn’t look like it closed gracefully. There are numerous notices on the doors and windows from the lien holder – House of Gold, Inc.

I look inside at all the nice furniture and tablecloths and general accoutrement that will now be sold yet again either to a new tenant or another restaurant. Its sad. This location can’t support restaurants for some reason. I feel sorry for the employees who were affected by an owner’s less than diligent market research.

4 months.

I recall there was a big police raid there last month where one of the owners was busted. I’m wondering if the closure is tied to that and not so much due to the location.

It has everything to do with the police activity, and not so much a location issue. Didn’t we blog about this already? (Although I don’t think we called the restaurant out by name…)

Sorry, I guess I missed that story. I can’t find any reference on the blog, but maybe it is deep in another topic.

Still, that building has some bad mojo IMHO.
