An update on the proposed changes to the Made in Oregon sign.

  • The city shot down the University of Oregon’s proposed change to the sign and the Historical Review board has given the sign company until April 6th to fit rules for historic landmarks.
  • Randy Leonard wants the city to outright buy the sign (yeah, look who has a blog.)
  • There are 19,250 people on Facebook who don’t want the sign changed.

And now, this morning on Twitter, I am seeing tweets that University of Oregon is getting all childish. If they don’t get what they want, they’ll just remove the sign. I haven’t confirmed this bit of news and will track it down. If they do just remove the sign, I think even supporters of the school will put them on their blacklist. Watch for updates.
