Remember that these people were arrested and NOT convicted. Also remember that a fair sized minority of people accused of a crime are in fact innocent. It happens. I was once myself arrested for a crime that I never committed (charges were dropped before trial) and it burns me to think that my mugshot would have been passed around for all to see and to mock before my innocence was proved beyond doubt.
