Spied this last week when the sun was out and began to wonder if entrepreneurial crackheads were opting to steal newly planted shrubs to make some cash. This planter is one of the new ones on 5th and Yamhill where the awesome rock sculpture used to be. Now, 4 planters grace the spot with trees, shrubs, plastic spoons and plenty of cigarette butts. Come on people, find a frakken trash can. There is one 2 ft. away.
I know people who have had new plants and shrubs stolen right from their yards in springtime, so seeing this didn’t really surprise me. What can one get for a slightly used 1 gal boxwood shrub?

I had $100 worth of potted trees stolen out of my yard last spring. Have a friend who had a banana tree dug up out of her front yard!
