I’ve just returned home from the Rose Garden where I watched the Blazers beat the Lakers. Again.

This is my take on the game from up in the 300 level:

1ST QUARTER: OMG OMG OMG OMG
2ND QUARTER: OMG OMG OMG OMG
3RD QUARTER: OMG OMG OMG OMG
4TH QUARTER: OMG OMG OMG OMG

In summary: OMG – That was intense. and LOUD

Emotions ran high throughout the game – and after the game.

As we headed down the escalator to exit the arena, we saw a couple of very large security guards trying to restrain an even larger and somewhat *disappointed* Laker fan. Just as I was about to step off of the escalator, the melee was headed straight towards me and I had one of those “Holy Shit I’m about to get hurt” moments. Luckily, I managed to get out of the way unharmed.

A total of five extremely large security guards tackled the guy to the ground, handcuffed him and laid on top of him for a while until more security and eventually the police came. Blazer security was prepared. If we meet the Lakers in the playoffs – buy yourself a hat and hold on to it. I saw on twitter that “After the game, Kobe Bryant said he would “(bleep) love to” face the Blazers in the playoffs.”

I’d like to see that too. Kobe was outplayed by Roy tonight. Lakers just can’t win in Portland.

I’m so excited about the playoffs. In fact, as season ticket holders we got to secure our playoff tickets about a month ago and we picked them up at the game tonight. I can’t imagine a game any louder than tonight’s game was, but I’m told the playoff games will be.

RIP CITY UP RISE
