Mark your calendars for April 10th at the Crystal Ballroom. Four Portland kid bands (10-17 years old) will rock out to raise money for charity. The kids were inspired to put together a benefit show after they saw the movie Slumdog Millionaire.
They are great musicians, and it’s refreshing to see the next generation take up a social cause and to be optimistic about using music to promote positive change in the world. More information, sound clips, interviews, etc. may be found at kidsrock4kids.org.
Proceeds will benefit Mercy Corps for disaster relief and development around the world.
