Here’s what we’ve found as we’ve traveled the local PDX web (complete with our comments) for April 25th:
- Pix Patisserie off the market! | Food Lover’s Guide to Portland – Noted local food writer Liz Crain has a new blog (or else it's new to us); she tells us that Pix – offered up for sale several months ago – is no longer on the block, according to owner Cheryl Wakehauser. Drop by and follow Liz's food news, won't you?
- GQ City Guide: Portland – Yep, there's another glossy publication and/or national media outlet fawning over Portland again. (as has been noted on every other local blog around, but just in case you missed it..!)
- Dear Web startups: Buying local isn’t just for food | Silicon Florist – Rick gets an uncharacteristic burr underneath his bonnet in this post – here's his opener: "If you’re a startup on the Web or on mobile, I’ve got news for you: buying local isn’t just a mantra for purchasing food and goods, it’s a mantra I use for purchasing pretty much everything." And if you're used to watching Rick be all Mr. Nice Guy, this subhead should lure you in: "Why I’m especially so effing whiny about this."
Rick whining? It's about effing time, dude! Bring it…!
