Here’s what we’ve found as we’ve traveled the local PDX web (complete with our comments) for April 8th:

  • Reading Local» What Local Author Would You Rave About? – This morning I had the chance to peek in on a new program the Multnomah County Library is rolling out called Title Raves. The program invites you to “join in a discussion about your favorite reads, what you have read lately, and why you liked them.”
  • Rose City Heresy: Stumptown – Dave goes against the grain with this: "My problem with Stumptown is that their coffee is truly awful. I don’t drink much espresso. I drink black coffee. Stumptown prepares their coffee in a french press. It sits in the pot for too long (perhaps because the staff is busy striking poses and snarling at customers, or maybe because the music’s so loud they don’t hear the bell on the timer) so it’s over extracted and bitter. "
  • Startup stimulus: EasyStreet offers free services for Oregon entrepreneurs » Silicon Florist – “Tough times are great times for entrepreneurs, and entrepreneurs are great for the Oregon economy,” said EasyStreet President & CEO, Rich Bader in announcing the stimulus program. “As the economic downturn was being felt here earlier this year, we asked, ‘What can EasyStreet do to best help boost innovation here in Oregon?’”
