Taplister, a new beer geek service, is having a launch party on Monday and they want you to join them. Taplister.com — and their sister application for the iPhone, BeerSignal — are pretty cool. If you’re at a local bar enjoying your favorite beer, you can tweet @Taplister naming the beer and location (see directions here), and it updates their database for others to search.
Then use the BeerSignal iPhone app to see where to go to find your favorite beer on tap (or visit the Taplister site if you don’t have an iPhone.) The first live user-updated beer on tap list in the city. I’m pretty amazed at the entrepreneurship behind this. Beer apps in a beer town. Who knew?
