I can’t recall a show in recent history where there was more talking than this episode. Will Radik and Bobby “Fatboy” Roberts can talk. I mean really, I know this is a talk show but the mouthiness of the three of us combined made for not a single moment of on air silence. I believe, if we kept track of things like this, it would be a record.. which means I can’t wait to get them on the show again.

In theory the Tech Edition was all about Will’s project 7th Planet Picture Show, an MST3K inspired movie night. Fatboy Roberts and Ezra Caraeff will be joining Will This Sunday night at 8 PM at Mt. Tabor Theater to watch Despiser. Check out the show to find out more:

Afterhours, oh dear sweet afterhours. If I could tell you everything we discussed in this chit-chat filled 60 minutes of geektastic podcasting I would. Every bit. As we sat in the studio with Steven Walling of AboutUs Friday night I was amazed at the number of zingers he was able to throw in. I’m not going to quote any of them… but I can tell you that he delivered more than one line that caused Dr Normal to make a note so he could add something Steven said to a “best of” reel for later…

In the midst of a bustling (and fantastic) WordCamp Portland put on by Aaron Hockley and a fantastic host of volunteers we took the opportunity to talk with Matt Mullenweg, and since I never resist the urge to pass on a little knowledge we kick the interview off with a martini lesson. It would have been much easier and probably more appropriate for me to call this post “The Silicon Florist Turns 2″ or “SiliFlo’s 2!!!” or something all nice and harmless but that wouldn’t be me. Instead I’m going to fixate on that one little thing that made the night completely silly. Rick wearing a tiara. I probably wouldn’t mention it except that he happily donned it and wore it for 45 minutes without a moment of argument.

Then it was on to afterhours. I’ll be honest babies, we put our all into making this funny and ridiculous but maybe we just weren’t in the right head space for it. After an impression by Doc and a little silliness with Rick we were back to a serious conversation. It was a good afterhours session and I feel like some good topics were addressed, I just hope you can take it seriously while Rick is wearing a yellow plastic pearl and jewel encrusted tiara. We liked it so much it may show up on the show again.

On a sad note, in the words of Donnie Berkholz, assholes are killing our project.  Ever since our streaming service was taken over by the new streaming service we’ve had a serious problem with trolls in our chat room.  We don’t have the control we’d like over participants and we are painfully aware that half the fun of joining us live is being able to chat with the other people watching our show.  We’re on it.  Behind the scenes @drnormal @verso and I have been working hard on a solution.  We may need some input from you in the not so distant future to work out the best possible solution, but for the time being, just know we are working on it.
