Brrr! It was freezing last night. I’m starting to covet a new wool blanket. As far as wool goes, Grandpa got it right. If you want to stay warm all day when it’s raining and you aren’t moving around much, wool is definitely the way to go. When I go fishing, I’ve started to wear a wicking layer, then wool, then a rubber rain coat. Works like a charm.

Some go so far as to call it the wonder fiber. That might just be baaaable though – (I couldn’t resist that one, sorry.)

For bedding, wool is also nice because it breathes and it keeps your temperature nice and stable.

I’ve got my eye on this Monterey Blanket from Pendleton Woolen Mills. I would also like to get this Oregon Sesquicentennial Blanket and hang it on a wall.

Is anyone else breaking out the winter blankets yet?
