It was freezing last night. I&#8217;m starting to covet a new wool blanket. As far as wool goes, Grandpa got it right. If you want to stay warm all day when it&#8217;s raining and you aren&#8217;t moving around much, wool is definitely the way to go. When I go fishing, I&#8217;ve started to wear a wicking layer, then wool, then a rubber rain coat. Works like a charm. </p>
<p>Some go so far as to call it <a href="http://www.woolenmill.com/sections/About_Wool.php">the wonder fiber</a>. That might just be baaaable though &#8211; (I couldn&#8217;t resist that one, sorry.)</p>
<p>For bedding, wool is also nice because it breathes and it keeps your temperature nice and stable. </p>
<p>I&#8217;ve got my eye on this <a href="http://tinyurl.com/3ntqbd">Monterey Blanket</a> from Pendleton Woolen Mills. I would also like to get this <a href="http://tinyurl.com/427p3w">Oregon Sesquicentennial Blanket</a> and hang it on a wall. </p>
<p>Is anyone else breaking out the winter blankets yet?
